Aotea Security Wins NZ Inland Revenue Contract
– Integrator Aotea Security, based in Dunedin NZ, has won a contract to provide a wide range of security solutions and services for New Zealand’s Inland Revenue Department.
Inland Revenue went to tender seeking a single nationwide supplier who can provide comprehensive security services across all its sites. These services include security access control and system programming, monitoring services, maintenance and inspection of alarms, CCTV, hardware and software maintenance, upgrades and repairs, IQP compliance, asset management and guard services.
NZ IRD is the public service department that advises the NZ government on tax policy, as well as collecting and disbursing payments for social support programmes, and collecting income tax. Headquartered in Wellington, IRD has multiple branches around New Zealand. It generates revenues of more than $NZD7 billion annually and employs a team of around 5000 at dozens of locations.
Founded in Dunedin, the Aotea business has grown to cover 16 regions operating from 14 branches employing a team of more than 160. Aotea Security, was established as a division of the Aotea business in 1997.
