A new market study published by Global Industry Analysts titled “Electronic Access Control Systems (EACS) – Global Market Trajectory & Analytics” argues the global access control market will reach $US9.5 Billion by 2026.
Amid the COVID-19 crisis, the EACS market, estimated at US$6.2 Billion in the year 2020, is projected to growing at a CAGR of 7.3 per cent to 2026. Biometrics-Based EACS, one of the segments analyzed in the report, is projected to record a 8 per cent CAGR and reach US$6.1 Billion by the end of the analysis period. Growth in the card-based EACS segment is re-adjusted to a revised 6 per cent CAGR for the period.
In terms of size, the market in the U.S. is estimated at US$1.8 Billion in the year 2021. China is forecast to reach a projected market size of $2.1 Billion by the year 2026, trailing a CAGR of 11.2 per cent for the period. Japan and Canada, each forecast to grow at 3.9 per cent and 6.5 per cent respectively, while Germany is forecast to grow at 4.7 per cent.
