Alarm Watch Showing Video Verification Integrations At SecTech NZ.

Alarm Watch Showing Video Verification Integrations At SecTech – Alarm Watch has launched video verification integrations with Nx, Wisenet Wave and DW Spectrum and will be showing them in 3 NZ cities this June.

Alarm Watch has released 2 new integrations for Network Optix Nx Witness, Wisenet Wave and Digital Watchdog Spectrum, targeting gaps in existing video verification workflows.

The integrations have been developed off the back of Alarm Watch’s monitoring background and feedback from field technicians, with a focus on simplifying deployment and reducing cost barriers.

According to CEO Wade Coneybeer, existing video verification solutions often fall short in real-world deployments.

“We understand what works for operators, and technicians heavily influence what’s practical in the field,” Coneybeer said. “That made it clear what needed to be built.”

A key issue identified was the cost and complexity of traditional solutions, which frequently require additional hardware or are priced on a per-camera basis, limiting scalability and slowing rollout.

Alarm Watch’s approach removes those constraints. Sites already running Nx Witness, Wisenet Wave or DW Spectrum can connect directly, with no additional hardware and no per-camera fees.

Setup is designed to be fast, with deployment taking around 20 seconds. The system also integrates with IRFast, enabling compatibility with Inner Range Concept and Integriti panels, which is a relevant inclusion for Australian and New Zealand installations.

A central feature is AI-driven filtering. Installers can define detection parameters using plain language, with video clips reviewed before reaching the monitoring centre so only relevant events are passed through.

“It’s fast and easy to use – we’re effectively giving operators eyes on site,” Coneybeer said. “Instead of relying solely on alarm signals, they can see what’s happening and respond more effectively.”

The platform also introduces new commercial opportunities for integrators, with video verification and system health monitoring supporting recurring revenue models.

Operationally, alarms are automatically linked to associated video, allowing operators to verify events quickly and reduce unnecessary guard dispatches. The system can also operate using camera analytics alone, enabling video systems to function as monitored alarms without traditional alarm hardware.

Beyond real-time response, the platform supports scheduled checks, such as verifying whether a gate is closed at a set time, with alerts generated only when exceptions are detected.

SecTech NZ opens at Eden Park in Auckland on June 9, is at HNRY Stadium Wellington May 11 and opens at Te Pae in Christchurch on May 16.
