HILLS has announced the appointment of Jourdan Garde as general manager, growth markets security, surveillance and IT, for Australia and New Zealand.

Based at Hills’ Port Melbourne office, Garde will be responsible for further expanding the company’s presence in the enterprise security market and developing sales opportunities with channel partners as part of a strategy to cultivate big ticket projects.

Garde returns to Hills after working for Genetec in a APAC business development role. With strong product knowledge and extensive network of contacts, it’s anticipated that Garde will grow Hills security, surveillance and IT business, leveraging his expertise in open architecture security solutions offered by Genetec and other global technology leaders.

Horst Kubsch also joins Hills as pre-sales support engineer, based at Port Melbourne. Kubsch has over 30 years’ experience in the electronic security industry, from manufacturing to system installation and monitoring. He specialises in complex system designs for the mining, education, finance and correctional services sectors. Kubsch will focus on the development of the Hills pre-sales capabilities, utilising his expertise in system design to facilitate purpose built projects.

Hills CEO, David Lenz, said that the new appointments were aimed at leading the company into its next phase of growth, targeting key verticals like health, education, banking and government infrastructure.

“With industry expertise, broad capabilities and unique product portfolio, Hills is ideally positioned to deliver integrated solutions. Partnering with leading global technology providers like Genetec, we can create true turn-key offerings for enterprise and infrastructure projects,” Lenz said.

Head of sales – security, surveillance & IT at Hills, Bill Sakellariou, said that the new appointments would boost Hills ability to provide state-of-the-art, purpose-built security solutions.

“We’re growing our pre-sales capabilities and leveraging the skills of the best people in the industry, to ensure we can create custom solutions and tailored outcomes to consultants and end-users across Australia and New Zealand,” Sakellariou said.
