QSS Takes on New Intrusion Detection, Home Automation Products

QSS has taken on 3 new product lines in the alarms, access control and home automation space in the wake of Tyco’s decision to change its distribution strategy in Australia.

According to Rob Rosa, the company has taken on new product ranges in a number of key areas, including intrusion alarms and home automation. While we can’t mention these product lines for a week or so, they are well known and highly respected, and will give QSS considerable new firepower in the intrusion detection and home automation markets.

“We’ve had Tyco decide to change its distribution strategy, which had nothing to do with our own performance,” said Rosa. “While this means we no longer carry a number of products, it has freed us from a number of past restrictions and allowed us to take on some excellent new technologies.

“Our new distribution agreements will give us a very strong solution in the cloud security and home automation space, as well as allowing us to expand our intrusion detection range with a well established, high quality brand.

“I’m very comfortable with where the business sits today and the team is very comfortable with the strategy we have,” Rosa said. “The changes have given us the opportunity to assess our own position and best position the business for the future and we've seized a number of great opportunties.

“In terms of the business, we had a brilliant month last month and this month looks strong too, with particularly good performances from our Alumia range and Bosch CCTV range.”

There have been appointments at QSS in recent weeks, including Rob Lucas’ new position as national intrusion detection manager.♦
