Department of Home Affairs Seeks Border Technology Panel.
Department of Home Affairs Seeks Border Technology – Australia’s Department of Home Affairs has issued a request for tender seeking to establish a Border Protection Technologies Panel to support the operational capabilities of the Australian Border Force.
The panel will be composed of technology providers offering equipment such as x-ray scanners, trace and radiation detection systems, and substance identification tools, as well as other technologies and related products used for border protection.

The intent of the panel is to formalise procurement arrangements for both current and future operational requirements. This includes the provision of parts and consumables essential to maintaining existing systems, replacing outdated or unserviceable equipment, and acquiring new technologies to support emerging ABF needs across a range of locations.
In addition to meeting operational needs, the panel will also serve as a mechanism for identifying and evaluating new technologies and potential suppliers.
An initial deed term of 5 years will apply, with an optional extension of up to 5 additional years at the department’s discretion. Participation in the tender process requires submissions to include a pricing schedule in the prescribed format, to be written in English, and all measurements to conform to Australian legal units unless otherwise specified.
