PREVIEWED at ISC
West 2009, Risco’s WatchOUT eXtreme will be available from Direct Alarm
Supplies when released in Australia and it delivers a suite of canny detection
technologies that bolster event recognition in addition to advanced features
that optimize protection against vandalism. To further enrich its usability,
WatchOUT eXtreme is available with an optional high definition video
surveillance camera and in a wireless version.

“RISCO’s
innovative technologies and security solutions offer our customers a variety of
high end tools designed for effective security operations,” said Len Friedman,
President and CEO of RISCO Group, USA.

“WatchOUT eXtreme
expands the role of traditional intruder detection systems by incorporating the
latest advanced features to address real-world scenarios.”

Designed for high
performance reliability, WatchOUT eXtreme is the only outdoor detector to
feature two microwave and two PIR detection channels. WatchOUT eXtreme’s Sway
Recognition Technology is utilized in breakthrough functionality by recognizing
and excluding objects, such as swaying bushes and trees, that would trigger
traditional intruder detection systems.

Additional
breakthrough functionality is achieved with Digital Correlation Technology
which helps to eliminate false alarms caused from pets and rapid temperature
changes.

WatchOUT eXtreme
features Active IR Anti-Mask that detects any masking of the lens or other
impediment to viewing, including a dirty lens, and should vandals attempt to
sabotage or mask the detector, a Proximity Alert is issued, generated by
on-board directional and proximity analysis. The sensor also features
Anti-Collision technology which allows multiple units to be installed face to
face or back to back for maximum installation flexibility.

Remote control
and diagnostics of the system have also been enhanced. Parameters such as
detection sensitivity, microwave range, LEDs on/off, etc. can be set remotely
when the system is installed on the bus of RISCO’s ProSYS.Freecom Integrated
Security System. Remote interrogation includes power voltage input level, PIR,
and microwave signal and noise levels. Up to 128 WatchOUT detectors can be
installed on the Bus of ProSYS.Freecom Version 7 and above, achieving
significant cost savings on zone expanders, cabling and labor.

WatchOUT eXtreme
features a wide angle coverage of 50 feet at 90 degrees, long range coverage of
75 feet at five degrees and barrier coverage of 50 feet at five degrees. It is
also pet friendly up to a height of two feet, four inches. The unit is designed
with a protective hood and features an IP65 environmental rating. A range of
professional swivel brackets are available for barrier and pole installation
and each WatchOUT is provided with a swivel bracket allowing an optimal match
to the protected terrain.
