Dicker Data To Acquire Sektor Group For NZ$138 Million Expanding The Company’s Operations.

Dicker Data To Acquire Sektor Group For NZ$138 Million – Dicker Data has entered into a binding agreement to acquire 100 per cent of Asia Pacific technology distributor Sektor Group for NZ$138 million.

The move expands Dicker Data’s operations into South-East Asia and adds point-of-sale, enterprise mobility, cybersecurity and physical security capabilities to Dicker’s already considerable range.

The acquisition is valued at approximately $111.8 million on a cash-free, debt-free and normalised working capital basis and will be funded through an extension of Dicker Data’s existing debt facilities. Dicker Data said the acquisition is expected to be earnings accretive in FY26, ending 31 December 2026.

Sektor was established in 2009 and operates across Australia, New Zealand, Thailand and Malaysia. The distributor specialises in point-of-sale and enterprise mobility technologies, cybersecurity, physical security and specialised infrastructure solutions. Sektor employs 230 staff, including 60 across its South-East Asian operations.

Based on the 12 months to 31 August 2026, Sektor delivered gross revenue of $NZ440 million and unaudited normalised pre-AASB16 earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of $NZ22.7 million.

Dicker Data executive chair and managing director Fiona Brown said the acquisition would extend the company's existing business into adjacent technology categories and markets.

“The acquisition of Sektor is highly complementary to Dicker Data’s existing business and represents a logical extension of our long-term growth strategy,” Brown said.

“Sektor expands our reach into attractive adjacent categories including point-of-sale and enterprise mobility as well as further strengthening our physical security and cybersecurity offering. Importantly, Sektor also provides Dicker Data with an established operational footprint in Thailand and Malaysia, accelerating our regional expansion strategy.

“Overall, the acquisition expands our addressable market, diversifies our technology portfolio and creates meaningful opportunities to use Dicker Data’s scale, vendor relationships and partner ecosystem to drive long-term sustainable growth.

“I would like to personally acknowledge and thank Rhys Warren, CEO of Sektor, Kenji Lim and the broader Sektor team for their leadership, dedication and contribution to building such a successful business. I look forward to working closely with them, building on the strong foundations they have established and supporting Sektor’s continued success and growth across Australia, New Zealand and South-East Asia.”
