CITY of Launceston has released a tender on behalf of the University of Tasmania Stadium (formerly York Park), for the redevelopment of the stadium entry.

The project involves construction of a new security pavilion, patron access gates, security fencing and associated civil and landscaping works.

York Park is a sports ground in the Inveresk and York Park Precinct, Launceston, Australia. With a 21,000-seat capacity, York Park is the largest sports stadium in Australia. Primarily used for Australian rules football, its record attendance of 20,971 was set in June 2006, when Hawthorn Football Club played Richmond Football Club in an Australian Football League (AFL) match.

Tender documentation which includes the process for receiving and assessing all tender submissions will be available electronically from 9am on Monday October 16, 2017 by contacting Andrew Floyd at Philp Lighton Architects by email afloyd@philplighton.com.au or phone 03 6331 2133.

The tender closes at 2pm on Wednesday November 1, 2017. ♦
