AUD 5 Million NT Security Tender Pre-Released.
AUD 5 million NT security tender – Territory Generation has pre-released a $A2.5-5 million security tender for multiple sites in the Northern Territory, including East Arnhem, Barkly, Big Rivers, Top End, Darwin, Palmerston and Litchfield.
This future tender, which is due for release in November, calls for the provision of preventative, planned and reactive maintenance services of electronic security assets, upgrades of existing electronic security systems, installation of new electronic security systems, technical advice and design services.
Territory Generation is the largest electricity producer in the Northern Territory, owning 596MW of installed capacity and contracting an additional 5.1MW from independent power producers, including 4MW of solar from Uterne in Alice Springs and 1.1MW of reclaimed gas produced by LMS Energy from the Shoal Bay landfill site.
Territory Generation owns and operates 8 power stations and 65 generating units, including a battery energy storage system. These are variously located at Channel Island, Weddell and Katherine, Tennant Creek, Ron Goodin/Sadadeen Valley and Owen Springs (the Alice Springs power system), Kings Canyon and Yulara.
Territory Generation traces its history back to the first power stations in the Northern Territory, which were built in 1934 in Darwin and 1937 in Alice Springs.
