Western Australia Police is seeking a security system upgrade for the Balgo multi-functional police facility – while the tender does not specify, it’s likely the work will involve alarms, access control, CCTV and low-level automation and integration.
Multi-function police Stations (MFPS) are located in rural and remote areas. They service all police and judiciary needs. The buildings include a charge room, 2 cells, a small court room, administration office for court staff, a room for the officer in charge and interview rooms.
The engineering services design comprised of commonly available ducted and wall-hung split systems in conjunction with conventional exhaust systems, general power and lighting with provisions for future generator connection, telephone and data communications and security systems in line with WA Police standards.
Remote Officers Quarters (ROQ) are 3-bedroom houses, which accommodate roaming officers when visiting communities that don’t have an MFPS. The Balgo MFPS was designed and built by NDY.
This MFPS security tender closes on October 27 – a confidential form attached is to be completed with photo id and emailed to tenderingservices@finance.wa.gov.au – click here for more information.
