Optic Security Group Joins Defence Industry Security Program Requiring Hight Standards Across Personnel, Physical And Information Security.

Optic Security Group Joins Defence Industry Security Program – Security integrator, Optic Security Group, has joined the Australian Government’s defence industry security program (DISP), a framework designed to ensure companies working with defence and national security projects meet defined standards across personnel, physical and information security.

DISP membership is granted to organisations that demonstrate governance and security practices aligned with defence requirements. The program is intended to strengthen the security posture of companies participating in defence supply chains and projects involving sensitive information, technology or infrastructure.

Optic Security Group managing director Cunningham said DISP membership reflects the company’s focus on maintaining robust security practices across its operations.

“We’re pleased to share that Optic Security Group is a member of the Australian Government’s Defence Industry Security Program,” Cunningham said.

“DISP membership reflects our commitment to robust governance across personnel, physical, and ICT security in line with Defence security requirements.”

Cunningham said membership would strengthen the company’s ability to support projects in defence and other sectors where high levels of assurance are required.

“This milestone strengthens our ability to support Defence, aerospace, critical infrastructure, and sovereign capability projects where rigorous security standards are essential,” Cunningham said.

He noted that participation in the program carries ongoing obligations rather than acting as a certification of capability.

“We recognise that DISP membership is not an endorsement, but a responsibility and we are committed to maintaining the high standards expected of trusted industry partners,” Cunningham said.

The defence industry security program is administered by the Australian Government to ensure organisations supporting defence projects implement appropriate safeguards for personnel vetting, secure facilities and information and communications technology systems.
