NSW Department of Communities and Justice Seeks CCTV For Monitoring Transport Of Young People In Custody.
NSW Department of Communities and Justice Seeks CCTV – NSW Department of Communities and Justice has released a tender seeking a new video monitoring system for 25 vehicles used to transport young people in custody.
The procurement aims to replace an existing video monitoring system that has reached end of life. The new solution will provide in-vehicle video monitoring and recording across the Youth Justice transport fleet to support supervision and incident documentation during custodial transport.
According to the tender release, the system is intended to assist staff in monitoring the wellbeing of young people during transport, while also providing recorded footage that can be accessed quickly when incidents require evidentiary review.
The project includes the supply of hardware and a subscription-based software platform supporting video storage and retrieval. While the system will be deployed initially across 25 Youth Justice vehicles, the ability to extend coverage to additional or replacement vehicles in the future is central to system capabilities.
The department is seeking a solution capable of in-vehicle recording and monitoring with the ability to access footage when required. Additional capabilities such as GPS tracking, duress alarms and live video streaming may also be considered as part of the evaluation process.
The scope of works includes supply of the monitoring solution, implementation and rollout across the fleet, security testing, training and ongoing licensing and support. Installation of the hardware may be undertaken by the supplier or alternatively through installation guidelines enabling Youth Justice to deploy the equipment using a third-party provider.
Submissions for the tender must be lodged through the Department of Communities and Justice procurement platform, Procurement Central. Suppliers wishing to participate must register through the platform to access the full tender documentation and submit a response.
This NSW Department of Communities and Justice seeks CCTV tender closes at 3pm NSW time on April 7 – you can learn more here or read more SEN news here.
