Only 5 Weeks Until SecTech Brisbane – With only 5 weeks until SecTech opens in Brisbane May 12 SecTech Roadshow exhibitors need to start thinking about their SecTech promotion (register here!).
Note that SecTech visitors repeatedly say that what encourages them to attend the show is getting to see the latest solutions in their hometowns, including new products and gear that is coming up for release. This means the biggest draw cards are products that installers and end users have never seen before – don’t just do branding promo – make it clear the products you will be showing!
SecTech’s media partner SEN does a lot of promo via SEN website, SEN EDMs and B2B social media channels, but SecTech Roadshow works best when every company promotes the event as a group in order to create noise in the channel – note that there are nearly 30 exhibitors coming on tour around Australia – that’s a lot of marketing power and we need to work as a group for best results.
Highlight new product, undertake a countdown – 6 weeks, 5 weeks, 4 weeks, 3 weeks, etc – share the SecTech registration link widely. Use your Linked-In account by all means but note the direct mail and direct connection are stronger – SEN’s B2B social media traffic is 8 per cent of total traffic – don’t rely on Linked-In to do your heavy lifting – send direct invites from a respected member of your team – you talking to installers – have your invite come from a person your customers know and respect.
Tease your latest gear – bring your latest stuff but if you can talk about what’s around the corner on your stand then promote that technological progression – SecTech is about the latest gear – even if it’s still going through compliance.
Invite end users and promote to end users using operational angles – users have a different take on your solutions – play that angle to encourage users to come along and see how the latest software upgrade or integrations can streamline their operations.
Some distributors carry the same brands and may hold back on talking about this gear – instead be the loudest voice with the best service and the best experts – don’t hide your light under a bushel because Team Bloggs carries the same range you do.
