Johnson Controls Showcases Kantech hattrix At SecTech Roadshow This May.

Johnson Controls Showcases Kantech hattrix At SecTech – Johnson Controls will showcase its Kantech hattrix cloud-managed access control solution at the upcoming SecTech Roadshow 2026, which opens in Brisbane on 12 May before moving to Sydney on 14 May, Melbourne on 19 May, Adelaide on 21 May and Perth on 26 May.

SecTech Roadshow is a brilliant national platform for integrators and end users to see the newest security technologies in a relexed low pressure environment, with Johnson Controls using the event to demonstrate its latest cloud-based access control offering built on EntraPass security management software.

PERMACONN

Kantech hattrix is designed to deliver remote system administration without on-premises servers, allowing operators to manage doors, users and events via web interface or mobile applications including EntraPass Web, Go and Go Pass. The platform supports hosted, managed and hybrid deployment models, enabling organisations to retain control in-house or outsource system management depending on operational requirements.

The system incorporates 128-bit AES encryption and is engineered for low bandwidth environments. When deployed with Kantech ioSmart readers and credentials, it supports encrypted communication and mutual authentication from credential to controller. Mobile credential functionality is delivered via EntraPass Go Pass, enabling smartphones to operate as secure credentials using BLE, with configurable key cycling and offline access windows.

hattrix is built on the Kantech controller family, including KT-1 for single-door deployments and KT-2 and KT-400 for larger installations. This supports staged expansion from small sites to multi-site and multi-campus deployments, while maintaining compatibility with existing Kantech infrastructure. Support for MIFARE DESFire EV1 and EV2 credentials, OSDP communication and encrypted reader-to-controller links enables migration to higher security credential technologies.

Operationally, the platform reduces infrastructure requirements compared to traditional on-premises systems, with remote management supporting routine administration and reducing the need for site attendance. Continuous backups, system health monitoring and audit trails are included to support maintenance and compliance requirements.

In Australia and New Zealand, hattrix is delivered through regional Johnson Controls partners, with local distribution, support and hosting. Australian deployments include cloud infrastructure hosted locally, with commercial models structured on a per-door basis.

Johnson Controls is a global provider of building technologies and integrated security solutions, with a portfolio spanning access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection and building management systems.

SecTech Roadshow 2026 opens in Brisbane on 12 May before heading to Sydney on 14 May, Melbourne on 19 May, Adelaide on 21 May and Perth on 26 May.
