Honeywell, Rhombus Push Cloud Video And Access Integration.

Honeywell, Rhombus Push Cloud Video And Access – Honeywell has partnered with cloud video specialist Rhombus to deliver a unified, AI-driven video and access control solution, as demand grows for simpler, cloud-managed security across multi-site operations.

The collaboration brings together Honeywell’s access control portfolio with the Rhombus cloud-native video platform, combining both into a single system designed to be deployed, managed and scaled without heavy on-prem infrastructure.

The combined platform allows users to manage video, access and sensors through a single interface, with AI used to pull operational insight from video rather than just record it.

Honeywell customers will be able to gain insights from video data beyond traditional surveillance, transforming video systems into a source of operational intelligence, the companies said.

The benefits include tools like Rhombus Insights, which allows users to query video, analyse patterns and investigate incidents more quickly, shifting video from passive evidence to active data.

The partnership between Honeywell and AI provider Rhombus reflects where the market is heading. Cloud video is growing at more than 20 per cent annually and is expected to be the fastest-growing segment through to 2029, driven by demand for lower infrastructure overhead and easier multi-site management.

Meanwhile, Honeywell will take Rhombus to market through its global channel and integrator network, with initial availability in North America before expanding further.

Rhombus will be showcasing its AI video platform at SecTech Roadshow this month – SecTech opens in Melbourne today, is in Adelaide this Thursday May 21 and is in Perth next Tuesday May 26, giving local integrators a look at how cloud-managed video and access are converging into a single operational system.
