ADT Releases New Self-Setup App for Google Nest
ADT New Self-Setup App – ADT’s new self-setup app for Google Nest, ADT+, allows DIY customers to handle their own commissioning, as well as seamlessly integrating smart devices, such as ADT Base, which delivers professional monitoring and notifications to connected smart devices.

ADT+ app is part of a new integrated product ecosystem, including a base controller, keypad, motion sensors, door and window sensors, smart bulbs, smart locks and smoke/carbon monoxide detectors, as well as compatible Google Nest Cams, doorbell and thermostats.
“This is a pivotal moment for ADT,” said Raya Sevilla, ADT chief technology officer. “Through this new ecosystem, we’re providing greater peace of mind for our consumers wherever they are.
“Consumer expectations and definitions of safety have evolved to include connection, proactive prevention, mobile, vehicle and energy. We engineered the new ADT+ app with them in mind — leveraging extensive customer research to intimately understand their needs and expectations from a new home-automation system.”
ADT+ app represents the company’s next-generation smart home security system, providing modernized convenience that consumers desire by unifying security, life safety, smart home and analytics in one application, according to ADT.
Consumers can access their ADT devices, as well as their Google Nest Cams, Doorbell and Thermostats, all in one place, with a home security snapshot.
They also get real-time monitoring with notifications whenever an important activity is detected on Nest cameras. The notification will include a description of the object — such as a person, pet or vehicle — or activity detected.
ADT+ also gives users the ability to create routines and automation with ADT devices, like setting lights to turn on and off and doors to lock on a set schedule. Release date for professional installers is later on in 2023.
