Milestone Release Hospital Assist – Milestone Systems has released its first industry-specific add-on for XProtect – XProtect Hospital Assist.
Milestone Hospital Assist is designed for use in hospitals and residential care homes to support staff, improve patient monitoring and enhance situational awareness in these care settings. This is particularly useful for patients vulnerable to falls and wandering.
A new fall detection algorithm within Hospital Assist can raise alarms and alert nurses and staff within seconds of a patient’s fall and allow that person to receive aid and support far more quickly.

In addition, fall detection can be used within flexible rules, so that multiple actions can be triggered by a person’s fall such as sounding an alarm, placing a call, flashing a message on screen (and many others).
Milestone XProtect is an enterprise video management system that allows users to manage their CCTV systems, as well as security and automation integrations, from a single interface, either mobile or desktop.
