Rival wins ANZ SmokeCloak distribution – Rival SP has won the ANZ SmokeCloak master distribution at a moment the technology’s deterrence capabilities are being widely recognised.
Rival SP, a designer, manufacturer, importer and distributor of high quality security products including the ClarityAV and Nemesis products, has acquired exclusive master distribution rights for Smokecloak products in Australia and New Zealand.

According to Rival SP’s business unit manager, Jung Hong, Smokecloak is one of the original fog cannons available on the market and, with a strong, successful history of deterring and preventing would-be thieves and intruders while protecting assets by delivering a shield of impassable fog into an area, says its intention is to continue to show innovative ways of continuing to do so.
“The Smokecloak range of products are trusted by leading grocery stores, liquor stores, jewellery stores, petrol stations, banks and many other retail locations right across the world,” Hong said.
“The technology was recently featured on 9 News here in Australia when the product did exactly what it was designed to do, putting an end to an attempted robbery at a Foodworks store in Kinglake – as seen in a 9 News report here.”

Hong said Smokecloak fog cannons come in 3 sizes to suit different sized areas/protection requirements.
“You don’t need to fill the whole room or the whole shop, most of the time, the consumer wants to protect high-value or high-risk products in certain areas, which the smokecloak can do also,” he explained.
The New Zealand Government recently introduced a fog-cannon subsidy, giving significant rise to the demand in New Zealand, which lends strong credibility to the effectiveness of the products themselves.
Hong said that he was looking forward to discussing opportunities with the Australian Retailers Association (ARA) on behalf of Smokecloak to help store owners and operators, and their staff achieve peace of mind when their businesses are unattended but also, to feel safer when they are attended.
Rival is interested in talking to distributors here in Australia however, they have currently made the product available through Seadan Security and Electronics and Sprint Intercom and Security here in Australia and Security Wholesale Limited (SWL) in New Zealand.
