Queensland security equipment and maintenance – A tender has been released for the supply of security services, equipment and maintenance for the local governments of Queensland, Northern Territory and other approved purchasers.
The tender seeks to create a register of pre-qualified suppliers (RPQS) for the provision of these goods and services developed and managed by Local Buy, helps provide a diverse range of goods and services on behalf of local government.
Local Buy helps council procurement meet legislative, reputation, and compliance needs, simplifying the process by connecting councils to pre-qualified suppliers, large and small.
This process is undertaken via 52 arrangements under 5 broad portfolios with a spend value of $A800 million annually, including fleet, civil works, ICT, consultancy, corporate equipment, corporate services and industrial commodities.
To become a Local Buy pre-qualified supplier, you need to be successful in responding to a Local Buy tender for an arrangement. All Local Buy tendered arrangements meet the legislative requirements of the Local Government Act 2009 and Local Government Regulation 2012.
