Ezi Secures Olympic Park

♦ Ezi Secures Olympic Park – Ezi Security Systems won a contract for specialist supplier and installer to protect key sites around Sydney Olympic Park in anticipation of the return of large-scale events within the precinct.

According to Ezi Security, the team was able to secure 4 key sites within budget and in record time due to the ease of installation achieved with Safetyflex HVM systems.

Safetyflex bollards are manufactured by using a special composition of spring steel allowing them to absorb extreme amounts of energy/impact thanks to its flex technology.

On impact, the dynamics of the spring steel bollard can move around the 5 Cartesian coordinates allowing the bollard it to behave as a torsion spring, a lateral translation spring and then a lateral bending spring, before returning to its original start point after impact, giving greater resilience and higher levels of pedestrian safety.

Sydney Olympic Park features a large sports and entertainment area, originally redeveloped for the Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The stadiums, arenas and venues continue to be used for sporting, musical, and cultural events, including the Sydney Royal Easter Show, Sydney Festival and a number of world-class sporting fixtures. This is a huge site that’s nearly 7sqkm in size.

Sites protected by SafetyFlex at Olympic Park include:

* Olympic Boulevard, near Qudos Bank Arena
* Murray Rose Avenue
* Dawn Fraser Avenue north and south boundaries.
