PMT Security Opens Data Centre Division To Meet Demands Of SaaS, Cloud, AI.
PMT Security Opens Data Centre Division – PMT Security has launched a new division dedicated to providing comprehensive security solutions for data centres.
The new Data Centre and Critical Infrastructure Solutions Division aims to meet the growing need for advanced, reliable, and compliant security infrastructure in Australia’s expanding data centre landscape.
According to PMT’s managing director, Darren Taylor, with the growing demands of SaaS, cloud solutions and AI, the data centre market is expanding exponentially. The need to provide an end-to-end solution for securing the next wave of the data centres is an essential element of planning and design, to be considered alongside critical services such as power and cooling.
The new division will be steered by Nick Degney as the national general manager for data centres and critical infrastructure, alongside Nick Koletsis who fills the role of head of customer success for data centres and critical infrastructure.
Degney and Koletsis bring a wealth of experience in all areas of the data centre landscape from pre-site selection and design experience to build, fit-out and operations.

Supporting the DC and government verticals is George Dionisopoulos from GRC4 who is providing invaluable guidance and support to the team. Dionisopoulos has significant experience in the security industry and is a specialist in the data centre security space. His previous role was the head of security for NEXTDC and prior to that he worked with AAPT.
“With the range of experience that these new roles provide from both a sub-contractor and client background we are positioning PMT to capitalise on a growing data centre market,” Taylor said.
“Couple this with their experience in customer service, and you have a team dedicated to providing the best-in-class support to all customers.”
According to Taylor, PMT Security’s data centre solutions offer end-to-end system design, installation, and ongoing maintenance to safeguard both the physical and digital assets of data centre operators. The company is also a long-term partner of many Tier-1 global manufacturers in the data centre space.
“Data centres are the backbone of modern business operations, and we understand the critical need for security in these environments,” Taylor said.
“With the launch of our dedicated division, we are offering tailored solutions that integrate advanced technologies including access control, CCTV, automation and communications backed up by our managed services, to ensure the highest levels of protection and compliance.”
