Gallagher Raises $90,000 For Bravehearts at Charity Golf Day.
Gallagher Raises $90,000 For Bravehearts – Gallagher Security has delivered a record fundraising result of A$90,000 for Bravehearts at its annual Charity Golf Day, held at RACV Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast.
Craig Schutte, executive vice president APAC and IMEA, said the event had become a security industry fixture.
“Now established as a regular fixture on the industry calendar, the 2026 event attracted more than 150 attendees, including channel partners, end users, technology partners and consultants,” he said.
“This year the event raised $90,000, exceeding last year’s result before play had begun and setting a new benchmark for a Bravehearts’ partner across the organisation’s 29-year history.
“Funds raised will support Bravehearts’ prevention, early intervention and specialist counselling services for children affected by sexual abuse, a crime experienced by 1 in 4 Australians.”
The event was supported by sponsors including ADT, Convergint, Hanwha Vision, Optic Security Group, PMT Security Systems, Salto Systems, Seadan Security and Electronics, Secom Technical Services, Traka and Travel Experts.
Schutte said the growth of the event reflected a shared commitment across the security industry.
“Each year, we see more organisations coming together with a genuine desire to support Bravehearts and their important work in Australia. That shared purpose is incredibly powerful,” Schutte said.

“At Gallagher, people sit at the centre of everything we do. Our long-standing partnership with Bravehearts is something we’re deeply proud of. To see this event become the largest fundraiser in Bravehearts’ partner history is a powerful reminder of what our industry can achieve when it works together for a cause that truly matters.”
The day included a range of informal competitions, including the marshmallow drive challenge, won by Craig Hughes of Sonic Healthcare with a distance of 52 metres. Meanwhile, PMT Security took out the best dressed team award with coordinated apparel referencing Gallagher Security and Bravehearts.
Bravehearts CEO Alison Geale said industry support continues to play an important role in service delivery.
“Gallagher Security’s ongoing commitment plays a critical role in enabling Bravehearts to deliver services where they are needed most,” Geale said.
“Events like the Charity Golf Day help bridge key funding gaps, allowing us to expand preventative education in schools and early learning environments, while continuing to provide specialist, trauma-informed counselling for children and families impacted by abuse.”
