CEIA OPENGATE High Throughput Weapons Screening – CEIA Pacific is showing the CEIA OPENGATE weapons detection system, an open walk-through solution designed for high-throughput screening of people carrying backpacks, purses and bags without requiring bags to be removed.
Manufactured by CEIA in Italy, OPENGATE is designed to detect a range of metal threats, including multi-calibre weapons and IEDs, while allowing people to move through the screening point with their personal items.
Unlike conventional walk-through metal detector gates, OPENGATE comprises 2 freestanding pillars with no mechanical or electrical connection between them. The arch-free design eliminates the crossbar and allows the pillars to be rapidly positioned to create a screening lane.
According to CEIA, the system weighs around 12kg and can be set up in less than 1 minute without adjustment, assembly or connection of mechanical and electrical components between the pillars.
