Ruswin Seeks Electronic Security Apprentices – Security integrator Ruswin is recruiting apprentice electronic security technicians across its Queensland branch network.
The 4-year apprenticeships combine paid, on-the-job training with study through TAFE Queensland and are open to school leavers and adult apprentices.
Apprentices will work alongside experienced Ruswin technicians installing and maintaining CCTV, alarm and access control systems, surveillance technology, data cabling and data networks. Roles will also involve work across different sites, with some travel and occasional after-hours work.
The company is seeking applicants with an interest in computers and electronics, practical ability with hand and power tools, problem-solving skills and an interest in developing their technical knowledge.
Applicants should hold a current driver’s licence or be working towards one, with a manual licence preferred.
Successful applicants will be required to undertake a National Police Check and pre-employment drug and alcohol testing, and obtain a Queensland Security Provider Licence and Blue Card.
The apprenticeship provides a nationally recognised trade qualification, along with opportunities to gain industry certifications and undertake overtime and after-hours work.
Ruswin is a Queensland-based locksmithing and electronic security company with operations across regional Queensland. Its electronic security work includes commercial CCTV, alarm and access control systems, alongside data and network infrastructure.
Ruswin is recruiting across Rockhampton, Gladstone, Mackay, Mount Isa, Cairns, Emerald and Townsville.
