EasyGate Securing AfterPay HQ

EasyGate Securing AfterPay HQ At Kent Brewery In Sydney.

EasyGate Securing AfterPay HQ – EasyGate Elite speedgates coupled with an EasyTouch desk-mounted remote-control unit are managing access at the Sydney HQ of AfterPay.

Entrance Control general manager Michael Bystram said the team was honoured to be part of the heritage Kent Brewery transformation undertaken by IP Generation.

Kent Brewery will now serve as a state-of-the-art office space, while continuing to pay homage to its rich heritage,” Bystrom said.

Our speed gates offer the perfect balance of security and design, ensuring that the entrance experience matches the innovative spirit of the building’s tenants.

Michael Bystram

Entrance Control speedgates are a sleek security solution with a matt black finish and electric blue wing lights that blend into the modern-industrial aesthetic of The Brewery. The wing lights provide an intuitive visual cue to guide staff and visitors through the gates upon presentation of an authorised access card.

The EasyTouch panel at AfterPay’s front desk allows reception staff to manually control entry for both individual visitors and larger groups, disable or unlock the gates, and manage emergency overrides, as required. This comprehensive control system ensures that the building’s security measures are robust while also providing flexibility and ease of use.

Bystram said the EasyGate Elite speedgates were the most flexible in the Entrance Control range, with glass door panels available at any height between 990mm and 1,800mm and in configurations allowing for single- or dual-wing panel mounting. Optional accessories available to complement the gates included access and edge lights, remote turnstile diagnostics, integrated emergency power backup, bespoke PC monitoring, and more.

We were hugely impressed with the way Kent Brewery has been completely revamped,” Bystram said.

The combination of architectural preservation with leading-edge technology and future-facing business tenants ensures that The Brewery is not only a piece of Sydney’s history but also a symbol of its future.

Jack Fuse Showing New Product AT SAGE 2024 – Jack Fuse will be showing a new product at Security & Government Expo, Realm Hotel Canberra, Thursday November 21 pre-register here.

According to Jack Fuse’s Ken McKeon, the Jack Fuse Electronic Break Glass (EBG) represents a significant advancement in security technology, offering remote and automatic reset capabilities.

“For the first time, the need to attend and perform a manual break glass reset has been eliminated, along with associated costs,” McKeon said.

“The new reset modes, combined with audible and visual feedback, substantially enhance security by reducing the time doors are left unlocked unnecessarily, as well as discouraging nuisance activations.

“Automatic reset takes away the hassle of manually resetting an activated break glass – instead the electronic break glass performs a reset on its own when a card is used, when an exit button is pushed or even on change of access schedule.

Automatic reset is great for remote sites, large campuses and buildings without local managers,” McKeon explained.

“It allows more control over when the EBG is reset and is suited to high security applications and managed facilities. Reset can be facilitated by a remote button, key switch or access control system output and may be configured for individual EBG units or grouped to reset multiple units at once.”

According to McKeon, the EBG features the same footprint and mounting pattern as popular legacy manual break glass units.

“Existing lock power cables are used for automatic reset mode making upgrades and retrofitting a breeze,” McKeon said.

“In another break glass first, a built-in tamper switch monitors both the case and base for removal. The tamper output can be combined with EBG activation monitoring or used separately as a dedicated alarm.”

Security managers, security installers and security integrators can check out the new Jack Fuse Electronic Break Glass for the first time at SAGE 2024 and talk to the Jack Fuse team about how it can improve your security outcomes.
