VSI Mourns Founding Member Terry Guinan Who Served As Executive Officer For More Than 15 Years.
VSI Mourns Founding Member Terry Guinan – The Victorian Security Institute (VSI) has is mourning founding member Terry Guinan, who served as executive officer for more than 15 years.
Guinan, who died on July 2 after a long illness, also held roles as president and vice president. He was recognised as a life member in acknowledgement of his contribution to the organisation.
Across more than 50 years in the security industry, Guinan held senior roles with Lloyd Safe Company NZ, API Security, Pacom Data Australia, Diebold Australia and Hallmark Security Services. He was widely regarded for his work in promoting security technology and professional standards.
Guinan also made a significant contribution to community safety initiatives, including Neighbourhood Watch and Crime Stoppers Victoria, where he was also recognised as a life member.
The Victorian Security Institute said Guinan’s work was characterised by long-term commitment to members, industry and the broader community, as well as his role in strengthening relationships between stakeholders.
The VSI board and members have extended condolences to Guinan’s family, acknowledging his contribution to the Institute and the wider security industry. Vale Terry Guinan.
