Gallagher Bringing Cloud, Perimeter And Access Control To SecTech Roadshow This May And June.

Gallagher Bringing Cloud, Perimeter And Access Control To SecTech – Gallagher Security will use SecTech Roadshow to show a tighter, more connected approach to electronic security, with new cloud connectivity, perimeter protection and access control workflows sure to attract plenty of attention.

At the centre of the Gallagher exhibit will be OneLink, a cloud-based capability that connects field controllers directly to a central Command Centre without the need for traditional network infrastructure. The approach removes reliance on VPNs and complex network extensions, allowing remote sites to be brought online quickly and managed centrally. For integrators and end users, the appeal is straightforward. Remote assets can be monitored, controlled and maintained in real time, with reduced site visits and lower operational overheads.

As Gallagher techs will realise, what OneLink does is extend Command Centre’s fingertips into distributed environments, supporting live monitoring, usage tracking and remote control across multiple sites. It also shortens deployment time and simplifies system architecture, which will matter to installers dealing with regional, infrastructure or temporary sites where connectivity has traditionally been a constraint.

On the perimeter side, Gallagher is showing its brand new F5 and F6 fence controllers. These are monitored pulse fence systems designed for higher-risk environments where detection accuracy and safety are critical. The controllers variously introduce Smart Sync to maintain consistent pulse timing, while the F6 adds Safety Extra Low Voltage readiness and dual pulse peak measurement.

These units are built to IEC 60335-2-76 and compatible with Command Centre v9.40 and above. Given how important Gallagher’s F series controllers are to Tier 1 installations, as well as to any serious perimeter security application, there’s bound to be plenty of interest.

We all know the story of the invention of the Gallagher powered fence back in the day but these modern solutions are not basic energisers but integrated perimeter detection devices designed for challenging sites like utilities, logistics yards, transport infrastructure and mining operations, where nuisance alarms and safety compliance are constant challenges. The combination of monitored pulses, synchronisation and measurement gives installers more control over how fences behave in real conditions.

Rounding out the SecTech release set is AccessNow, a cloud-based platform that handles access requests, approvals and provisioning in a single workflow. Instead of juggling emails, spreadsheets and manual updates, AccessNow manages the full lifecycle of credentials from onboarding through to role changes and removal of access. This sounds simple but when SEN caught a demo of AccessNow late last year we realised just how much it streamlines endlessly complex access control and security operations by delivering function wherever it’s needed.

Delivered as a web application, the platform integrates with Command Centre and common identity providers, supporting single sign-on and providing a clear audit trail of all activity. The focus is on reducing administrative load while tightening control over who has access to what, and when. For larger sites or organisations with frequent staff movement, that shift away from manual processes is significant.

The 3 SecTech releases show us where Gallagher is heading. Less reliance on physical infrastructure, more cloud connectivity, tighter integration between systems, and more automation around access and perimeter control. It is a practical shift rather than a conceptual one, and it should translate well on the SecTech floor where installers can see how these pieces fit into real deployments.
