CEIA Pacific Bringing OPENGATE Weapons Detection To SAGE In Canberra November 19.
CEIA Pacific Bringing OPENGATE Weapons Detection To SAGE – Something well worth a look for security managers of big sites attending SAGE is CEIA OPENGATE, a walk-through weapons detection system designed to screen lots of people without requiring them to empty their pockets or remove bags.
The system uses 2 freestanding pillars with no mechanical or electrical connection between them, creating a wire-free active walk-through detection system. Its arch-free design is intended to provide high throughput while keeping nuisance alarms low. Depending on the configured security level, people can walk through carrying backpacks, handbags and other personal items while the system screens for weapons.

Each pillar can be carried by 1 person, and the system can be operational in under 1 minute without installation. Battery operation provides up to 14 hours of continuous use, while mains power is available for permanent installations. GO/NO GO signalling provides a simple operator interface requiring minimal training.
Detection settings can be configured through the OPENGATE mobile app, while multiple units can be managed centrally using CEIA NetID Anywhere cloud software. Its portability means the system can be deployed as a temporary screening solution or used in more permanent security applications.
More than 50 OPENGATE units were used to screen a massive crowd of 100,021 at the MCG for the NFL final in Melbourne in 2026. According to CEIA Pacific, this system is suited to government buildings, courts, public events, stadiums and transport hubs, and is available for purchase or short-term rental.
You can check out OPENGATE on the CEIA Pacific stand 35 at the Realm Hotel November 19 – you can learn more here, register to attend here or read more SEN news here.
