Panasonic says the integration capabilities with Lenel’s product bolster support for its new open infrastructure initiative, which is aimed at forming alliances with leading companies that specialize in related security systems. “When we launched the open infrastructure initiative a few months ago, we made a firm commitment to pursue relationships with a broad base of companies that would help further accelerate the integration of various systems technologies,” said Frank DeFina, president of Panasonic System Solutions Co., in a statement. The IP-based integration allows Lenel’s OnGuard system to perform video-related functions through one or multiple Panasonic DVRs. Integrated functions include viewing live and recorded video, multiple-video display, multiple-speed playback, video-screen resizing, alarm operation and more.
