Bluechip Adds Avigilon Alta

Bluechip Adds Avigilon Alta Access Control To Australian Portfolio.

Bluechip Adds Avigilon Alta – Bluechip Infotech has added another Motorola Solutions’ brand to its Australian portfolio, Avigilon Alta, one of Motorola’s cloud-based access control systems.

According to Bluechip IT’s head of sales for the Electronic Security and Infrastructure Division, Matthew Harvey, Bluechip IT is one of the longest serving distributor partners for Avigilon in Australia.

“The team has been looking after Avigilon Unity since its previous iteration as Open Path – now due to the rise of cloud-based security systems, Bluechip IT and Motorola Solutions are at the forefront of that charge,” Harvey said.

“With its many security customers, MSP clients and the larger IT breadth, Bluechip IT is well versed to help cater these technologies to the clients who can help implement them.”

According to Harvey, the changing environment to subscription-based products and a focus away from server architecture makes the offering very attractive to the Bluechip customer base.

“A lot of these organisations are geared to servicing their customers in all their IT spaces, including IT security, and the devices needed for that infrastructure,” Harvey said.

“Adding the access control side of Alta helps complete a nice circle for Alta alongside Alta Aware video security solution already working on the cloud architecture. We are excited to see these lines grow in the Australian market.”

According to Harvey, Open Path was founded in 2016 and acquired by Motorola Solutions in July of 2021, later changing its name under the Alta franchise to Avigilon Alta Access Control.

“The addition of the Avigilon Alta access control line further strengthens the long-standing partnership between Motorola and Bluechip IT,” said Ron Jarvis, sales director at Bluechip Infotech.

“This also brings a lot more of Bluechip’s IT channel partners into the forefront of these lines making this a significant step for Bluechip Infotech in terms of strengthening its cloud security offering.”
