New EasyGate Compact Swing Speedgate Released In Australia By Entrance Control.
New EasyGate Compact Swing Speedgate – A new entrance control gate with a reduced footprint has been released in Australia and New Zealand by Entrance Control.
According to Entrance Control general manager, Michael Bystram, new sensor technology allows the gates to detect movement across a greater distance and wider field of view, without relying on point-to-point beams within the lane.
“Most gates on the market use traditional point-to-point infrared beams, which can only detect movement once a person enters an entrance control gate lane.”
The system includes LED guidance lighting and sensors capable of detecting climb-over attempts. Sensira Scope is available in standard and AI-enhanced Sensira Scope Ultra variants, with the latter supporting detection of tailgating, side-by-side entry and incorrect direction of travel.
Sensira Scope sensors send pulses of energy across a wide field of vision, detecting when an object is struck to enable time-of-flight measurement and real-time 3D mapping of the surrounding space. This allows movement to be detected earlier as a person approaches, removing the need for extended lane lengths.
“It’s a small innovation but one with big implications for building and lobby design because long lanes are no longer needed,” Bystram said. It means the physical footprint of this gate to be reduced considerably.”
The pedestals are 290mm long, supporting installation in space-constrained environments. The units are available in brushed stainless steel or custom powder-coated finishes, making them suitable for new builds and retrofit applications.
“We are really excited about the introduction of these new entrance control gates in the Australian and New Zealand market“, Bystram said.
“They re-imagine what’s possible for corporate office entranceways and internal security checkpoints by packing advanced security into a small and incredibly powerful package.”
The gates integrate with building management systems and support glass wing barriers ranging from 990mm to 1800mm, depending on security requirements.
