Metropolitan Cemeteries Seeks Security And Response – Metropolitan Cemeteries Board (MCB) of Western Australia has released a tender for the provision of integrated security, emergency and rapid response services across its cemetery network.
Scope of works is structured across 6 service categories, covering security systems integration and support, CCTV oversight, guarding and rapid response, key and lock systems, specialist monitoring services, and training.
Category 1 centres on ongoing integration, maintenance and operational support of security and emergency systems, including provision of 24/7 alarm monitoring across MCB sites.
Category 2 covers oversight of integrated CCTV systems, while Category 3 includes security guarding and rapid response services.
Category 4 addresses management of electronic and mechanical key and lock systems, and Category 5 relates to maintenance and monitoring of portable emergency GPRS indication systems and associated devices, including 24/7 specialised monitoring.
Category 6 includes delivery of a 6-monthly training and drill program for staff, emergency wardens and response teams.
The MCB may appoint up to 6 contractors or allocate multiple categories to a single provider depending on value for money.
Mandatory site briefings are scheduled across multiple locations including Pinnaroo Valley Memorial Park, Midland Cemetery, Guildford Cemetery, Karrakatta Cemetery, Fremantle Cemetery and Rockingham Regional Memorial Park on 22 and 23 July 2026.

The Metropolitan Cemeteries Board provides burial, cremation, memorialisation and chapel services across metropolitan Perth, operating a network of cemeteries and facilities that require ongoing security, monitoring and emergency response capability.
