Hanwha Vision X Series Stainless AI Camera With Wisenet 9 SoC.
Hanwha Vision X Series Stainless AI Camera – Hanwha Vision has released 2nd generation X Series stainless steel AI cameras, including models XNV-A8084RS and XNV-A9084RS, built around the Wisenet 9 system on chip and designed for deployment in corrosive and high-impact environments.
At the core of the cameras is the Wisenet 9 SoC, which uses a dual NPU architecture to separate video processing and AI analytics. This allows the camera to maintain image quality while running analytics, avoiding the performance trade-offs typical of shared processing environments.
AI processing is handled at the edge, supporting detection of people, faces, objects, vehicles and licence plates, along with attribute extraction including clothing colour, gender and vehicle type. Metadata is generated in real time, enabling search, filtering and integration with VMS and higher-level systems without requiring additional processing infrastructure.
Image processing is supported by AI-based enhancement, improving clarity in low light and complex scenes. The platform is designed to maintain usable image quality during simultaneous analytics tasks, with reduced latency due to local processing.
Bandwidth and storage are managed using WiseStream, which applies AI-based compression to prioritise image quality for relevant objects such as people and vehicles while reducing data rates for background elements. This allows lower bandwidth consumption without loss of evidential detail where it matters.
Power consumption is managed via WisePower ECO, which dynamically adjusts power draw based on IR illumination requirements. This allows the camera to maintain visibility in low light while reducing overall energy use.
The cameras are constructed from STS316L stainless steel with a nylon dome, supporting deployment in environments exposed to salt, chemicals, moisture and high-pressure washdowns. The dome material resists UV degradation and chemical exposure, maintaining optical performance over time.
Environmental protection ratings include IP66, IP67, IP68 and IP6K9K, along with IK11 impact resistance and compliance with NEMA 4X and transport standards. These ratings support installation in infrastructure, industrial and outdoor environments subject to vibration, thermal cycling and high humidity.
Cyber security is handled through Secure Boot, Secure OS and encrypted firmware, preventing unauthorised code execution. The cameras meet FIPS 140-3 Level 3 requirements, with encryption applied to both credentials and video data. A software bill of materials is provided to support vulnerability management and compliance requirements.

Dynamic Privacy Masking is included for real-time protection of sensitive areas, while ONVIF compatibility supports integration with third-party systems.
Hanwha Vision X Series Stainless AI Cameras are suited to applications requiring durability and edge-based analytics, including industrial sites, transport infrastructure, food processing environments and coastal locations where corrosion, washdown and environmental exposure are ongoing factors.
